And to be more specific, a Provence cycling holidays is what we recommend as a fantastic way to explore this beautiful part of the country, bathed under the Mediterranean sun.

What to see on your Provence bike trips?

Provence is vast and offers a variety of landscapes, from vineyards and lavender fields to olive groves and cherry orchards and is home to some of the most beautiful villages of France. Read up on some of the hot spots below and see our full online catalogue of trips for more inspiration!

Le Mont Ventoux

The infamous stage of the Tour de France, the mecca for all cycling enthusiasts, the Mont Ventoux is a must for experienced cyclists. Culminating at 1 912m (6 270 feet), the ascent can be tackled via 3 different routes. The lunar landscape at the summit is quite something and the 360° panorama makes the climb worthwhile!

The Roman town of Arles

Enjoy a ride to the roman town of Arles and discover the remarkable remains including the roman arena that can seat 20 000 people and is still used today to host live music events. Take time on your Provence cycling holidays to explore Arles, a town of culture with many exhibitions and festivals taking place throughout the year.

La Camargue

From Arles, your Provence cycling tour will lead you to the Camargue, a region where salt flats, lagoons, flamingoes and wild horses paint the landscape! This is a unique part of France, bathed in tradition, with an important ecosystem and a bird watchers paradise. A ride through the Camargue is a real experience, on easy and flat terrain.

Le Lubéron

We have so much to say about the Lubéron! A mountain range in central Provence, it is also a National Park and is home to numerous perched medieval villages typical of the region, each one as pretty as the next. We offer many bike tours in Provence through the Lubéron along idyllic country roads, past lavender fields, truffle oak plantations and cedar forests.
