The wilderness of the Vercors "Regional natural park" : between Alps and Provence !

Stretched out between Provence and the Alps, the Vercors is a must-see destination for hikers. The magic of a multi-faceted mountain, the land of the "Four Mountains" reveals its most beautiful trails, its fabulous ridges, its sumptuous forests and its impressive gorges.

On the high plateau of the Vercors massif - in the heart of the regional natural park - you will evolve in an exceptional setting, from pretty villages to vast mountain pastures and from confidential paths to deep forests, in the heart of a wonderfully wild and preserved medium mountain environment.

From the crests or the summits, with incredible panoramic view on the Alps!
The Vercors is a paradise for lovers of great wilderness: between forests, ridges and meadows dotted with flowers and hooked pine. Here and there, marmots, chamois and ibexes can be seen... And if you are lucky, you will fall on Edelweiss... !

The reserve of the high plateaus of Vercors is famous for its wildlife, including the Alpine ibex, a protected species. In summer, the Vercors is the territory of the shepherds : you will certainly cross flocks of sheep in transhumance !
Hiking in the Vercors is also walking in the footsteps of history, in this high place of resistance, having marked the massif during the Second World War

You will taste a typical and generous cuisine: raviole, cheese, cold cuts, blueberry pie. Accompanied by a sparkling " clairette de die " !

In a region in the south of France, known for its rich wilderness and wildlife and typical cuisine. A great walking holiday with a great climate in summer, with  great food, rural and wild landscapes and unspoilt scenery.
